Direct Access courses for Wiltshire, Dorset & Hampshire.

TRAINING STUDENTS SINCE 1984
Once you’ve got the CBT under your belt, you have a couple of options. You can either opt for a light or full motorcycle licence. Or if you’re over 24 and want to hone your skills on a bike with more power, the Direct Access course could be for you.
After passing the CBT and theory test, the practical can be taken on a 46bhp motorbike.
Direct Access is the fastest route to riding any bike you choose. But as they say, with great power comes great responsibility. Whilst learning, you’ll need to be in radio contact with your instructor at all times, wear the correct clothing and adhere to the restrictions of the licence. With a provisional licence you are restricted to 125cc when not accompanied by a licenced instructor.

GIVING YOU THE FREEDOM TO RIDE

If you turn 21 within the 2 year restricted licence period, accelerated Direct Access training is the next step to the freedom to ride whatever you like. Basically you just need to take the motorcycle test again on a bigger bike (Mod 1&2 not the Theory or CBT). If you fail, you’ll still have your restricted licence. If you pass, you’ll be able to ride any size bike of your choice.
